Inspired by a passion for all things vintage and unique, Chalk Farm is the vision of it’s owner Jennifer Rae Beck. A longtime resident of Manhattan and a stage and television actress, Jennifer moved to Montclair, NJ, after falling in love with the historic town’s old homes and midwestern feel.

A self-professed lover of garage sales and flea markets, Jennifer accumulated boxes of vintage objects and notebooks full of magazine clippings before she decided to take the plunge and open her own shop. Inspired by her distinct sense of style and the antique and vintage treasures she’s aquired on her many travels, Jennifer opened Chalk Farm’s doors in September 2007, and the store has quickly become a much-loved treasure trove for residents of Montclair and beyond.

The ever-changing collection of merchandise includes farmhouse benches, bedding by Elizabeth Allen Altier, slipcovered furniture, French and Swedish antiques, apothecary jars, vintage garden urns, and coffee table books. Chalk Farm also features a sublime children’s section filled with vintage baby items, as well as children’s toys, bedding and gifts.
